In this recorded conversation, Religion & Diplomacy editor Judd Birdsall interviews Chris Seiple to discuss a new report Seiple co-authored with Peter Mandaville (a George Mason University professor and a Berkley Center senior research fellow) on “Advancing Global Peace and Security through Religious Engagement: Lessons to Improve US Policy.” The report, published by the U.S. Institute of Peace, provides guidance on how the U.S. government can enhance its capacity in the interrelated areas of religious freedom, religious engagement, and religious literacy.
Dr. Chris Seiple is president emeritus of the Institute for Global Engagement (IGE). He is also a principal advisor to the Templeton Religion Trust and a senior fellow at the University of Washington’s Jackson School of International Studies.
